Emi Hosoda, MD
Dr . Emi Hosoda is an internal medicine physician with an interest in Women’s Health and Holistic medicine. Dr Hosoda has been involved in scientific research since the age of 16, when she worked in a lab at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, as a lab technologist- a laboratory which helped develop tissue plasminogen activator- a substance used to treat myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) and strokes. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in molecular biology with special honors in microbiology research from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr Hosoda attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she graduated with an induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical honors society. Dr Hosoda did a one year of OB/GYN internship at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. She then completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Parkland Hospital/the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas.
Dr. Hosoda currently practices in Enumclaw, Washington where she has her own holistic internal medicine private practice and works as a hospital medicine specialist at Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Washington.
Dr. Hosoda has a special interest in autistic spectrum disorders came from her own personal experience with her child who has Asperger’s syndrome. She feels he has applied her scientific and internal medicine trainings to find best evidence ways of providing neurologic support for these disorders. She is passionate about sharing her success with parents and health practitioners alike in order to provide hope for those meeting the challenge of dealing with children who need neurologic support.
