George C. Shapiro, MD, FACC

As Medical Director of the Associates of Columbia Presbyterian Heart Institute, Scarsdale, NY and Medical Director of Pulse Medical Imaging, White Plains, NY, Dr. Shapiro is a new breed of cardiologist/internist. Focused on preventive cardiology and age management medicine, Dr Shapiro integrates nutraceuticals and advanced imaging techniques as part of a comprehensive approach to prevention and wellness. Dr Shapiro’s credentials are impressive; he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Age Management Medicine.

A graduate of New York Medical College, he completed an internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a post-doc fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr Shapiro is actively involved in teaching as Assistant Clinical Professor of NYU School of Medicine.

Dr Shapiro has also demonstrated distinctive service to the community as: Deputy Chief Surgeon, Police Surgeons Group, NY State Troopers; Medical Reserve Corps, Office of the US Surgeon General, Westchester County Department of Emergency Services; Volunteer Firefighter, Ardsley, NY and Surgeon for the National Emergency Medical Response Team in New York City.
