Kathy O'Neil-Smith, MD

Dr. Kathy O'Neil-Smith is a physician of exceptional achievement. Recently, after practicing conventional internal medicine, Dr. O'Neil-Smith recognized the importance and power of nutritional interventions by pursuing a post-doctoral fellowship in functional and anti-aging medicine. Her new consultative practice in the Boston area focuses exclusively on nutrition, wellness, weight management, lifestyle changes and nutritional genetics.

She received both her BS and M.D. at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. O'Neil-Smith then completed an internal medicine residency at the prestigious Brigham and Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

As a former international competitor of the U.S. National Rowing Team, she competed in women's rowing during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. She then became assistance coach, U.S. Olympic Rowing Squad and was the captain of the Women's Crew Team at Boston University. For her professional achievement, she received the American Medical Women's Association Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award, Merck Manual Award and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
