Milan Shannon Moore, MD, MPH

With an extensive thirst for knowledge and an unyielding desire to search for truth in healing and wellness, Dr. Milan Moore represents a new breed of orthopedic surgeon. His personal commitment and energy in all he undertakes comes as no surprise to this physician and gentleman with exceptional credentials.

A graduate of Yale University with a BA in economics, Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Moore chose to pursue both an MD and Master's Degree in Public Health at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Moore was then accepted to the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical center for residency in orthopedic surgery. He continued his training as a post-doctoral fellow in Joint Replacement at the Anderson Postgraduate Medical Education Foundation in Alexandria, VA.

Dr. Moore also authored numerous original research papers in his field. After a period of frustration with the limitations of surgical intervention and the realization that many of his own patients were not given any direction or education for their underlying health issues such as obesity, chronic inflammation, and poor healing, Dr. Moore discovered the role and efficacy of nutritional interventions. Today, Dr. Moore routinely integrates nutritional therapies, weight management programs, and nutrigenetics in his private orthopedic practice in Washington State.

These new approaches, in addition to his conventional expertise, have exploded his referral base and reputation as a 21st-century physician and surgeon. His enthusiasm, energy, and passion are infectious as he imparts his knowledge and experience for the nutraMetrix%26#174; Educational Institute.
