Nancy J. Miller-Ihli, PhD

Dr. Miller-Ihli has more than 25 years experience conducting human nutrition research and is a nationally recognized speaker on nutrition, nutrition policy and healthy eating. Dr. Miller-Ihli served as the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Program Leader for Nutrition. As National Program Leader, she authored a white paper on obesity for the White House to summarize the challenge and offer solutions. In addition, she supported the USDA's database on the proanthocyandin content of foods. Dr. Miller-Ihli is the senior author of 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications and her nutrition research has been supported by the USDA, the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), and the National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements. She received her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Miller-Ihli is a strong proponent of low-glycemic-index eating and is committed to community-based nutrition education. Presently, she consults with health professionals throughout the U.S. regarding weight-management and nutraceutical programs.
